En la categoría más celebrada, la de Álbum del Año, compiten Mumford and Sons con Babel, Frank Ocean con Channel Orange, fun. con Some Nights, The Black Keys con El Camino, y Jack White con Blunderbuss. Además, Ocean y fun. también están nominados para Mejor Artista Nuevo, junto con Alabama Shakes.
